The Comedy Playhouse
Come for the fun of it!
Spring cleaning at The Comedy Playhouse means dusting off some of our favorite comedies and bringing them back to the stage full of new life and energy. From April 15 to May 22, you get two shows for the price of one at The Comedy Playhouse! Bruce Bieszki directs Box and Cox, by James Maddison Morton, and Passion, Poison, and Petrification: The Fatal Gasogene, by George Bernard Shaw.
Call 520-270-9310 to make your reservations for these absurdly funny one-acts. Tickets are $18 for adults and $16 for students, seniors, and military.
**There will be no show on Saturday, April 16.**
Box and Cox- James Maddison Morton
Lodging-house keeper Mrs. Bouncer has found a cunning way to get double the rent from a single room. Mr. Box resides there by day, Mr. Cox by night, and never the two shall meet... until the day they do. Can the two men survive an afternoon in each other's company?
Passion, Poison, and Petrification: The Fatal Gasogene- George Bernard Shaw
Shaw's one-act comedy finds Lady Magnesia Fitztollemache receiving both her husband and her lover in the dead of night with grave consequences. Come see how a heavenly choir, a fatal gasogene, and an urgent quest for lime lead to the monumental conclusion of this astonishing melodrama.
If you are interested in volunteering for The Comedy Playhouse, please contact Erin at erinhepler20@gmail.com. We are looking for tech-savvy people to help out with our light and sound programs. We are also looking for people to help with front of house duties, such as collecting money for tickets, ushering guests, and stocking the concession area.
