Roundabout Music Theatre AUDITIONS

AUDITIONS

The new ROUNDABOUT MUSIC THEATRE--a community group--announces general city-wide auditions for actors-singers-dancers for its premiere season, on Sunday, Sept. 17, 2006, from 1 p.m.-7 p.m., at the Jewish Community Center, 3800 E. River Road (at Dodge), 2nd floor.

The season opens with "CABARET", Nov. 30-Dec. 3, in Oro Valley and Dec. 7-10 in Saddlebrooke. "110 IN THE SHADE" (the music version of "THE RAINMAKER") and "SEESAW", Mid-February and mid-May, 2007, respectively, with four performances in each location.

Specific casting will be done now only for "CABARET", but actors will be kept in mind for the further productions. "CABARET" rehearsals begin Nov. 7th at the JCC.

All types, sizes, ethnicities and ages--from 17 years up are encouraged to attend. Children and early teens will not be seen. Bring sheet music (no rock!) in proper key, photo/resume and prop-FF-attire for dancers.

"CABARET" calls for:

Ø       Emcee--ageless, sleazy, decadent and androgynous. Sal1y Bowles--20's attractive, British, hyper-active, strong singeTYdancer. (no Lizas!)

Ø     Cliff—American writer, overwhelmed by Sally, late 20's, excellent singer.

Ø       Fraulein Schneider--German, 50's up. Has seen it all. Kerr 5chultz-'-Jewish shopkeeper, 501s up, naive to all the goings on. A grandfatherly type. Sings.

Ø       KIT KAT KLUB girls (do not 411 have to be "showgirl" types--the Klub is cheesy!)) German sailors, other men.

Ø       Callbacks are Sept. 20 & 21 at 7 p.m. (If you cannot make the 9/17 audition, you may come 9/20.)

Hal Hundley is the producer/director, Adam Boyles (of the Southern Arizona Symphony) is musical director/conductor and Stacy Johnson is choreographer.

We are also seeking a wardrobe supervisor and propmaster.
