TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) -- Every year, seven strangers are picked to live in a house, work together and have their lives taped to find out what happens when people stop being polite, and start getting real.
"The Real World" is coming to Tucson to look for cast members for its 19th season.
The MTV reality show has created a slew of memorable people, including barrier-breaking AIDS activist Pedro.
"Real World" producers say they're looking "for characters from real life" and for "strong personalities who are unafraid to speak their minds."
The opening cast call is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 1 at DV8 nightclub, 5851 E. Speedway. Applicants are asked to bring a recent picture and a photo ID. All applicants must be between 18 and 24.
