This incredible live on film production from the San Francisco Opera House is a colorful, exuberant version staged by Spanish director Emilio Sagi and led with plenty of buoyancy and directness by Resident Conductor Giuseppe Finzi.

 

With the help of a wily barber, a strong-willed young woman outwits a lecherous old man in this eternally fresh comic masterpiece featuring Rossini's witty and charming score.
