Lysistrata at Beouwlf Alley Theatre !!

Lysistrata by Aristophanes March 8th through the 24th

Beowulf Alley Theatre Company presents the hilarious anti-war comedy Lysistrata by Aristophanes. The women of Greece have had enough of the war. Lead by Lysistrata, the ladies decide to withold their favors to men until they sue for peace.

Ribald and heart-felt, raunchy, hilarious and in deadly earnest, this adaptation of Aristophane's Lysistrata is filled with anticipation. It will be really hard to not laugh at this wonderfully written play ("a sparking, witty adaptation"--Marshall Mason, Phoenix New Times and legendary Off-Broadway Director), thrusting audience members into a gripping performance. Leading to a climax that will explode with... Laughter.

A special preview performance will be held Thursday March 7th at the Tucson Museum of Art, 140 N Main Ave at 6:00 PM in their lovely courtyard. The performance is free with Museum admission ($10) or membership!

This play is not suitable for children. It is EXTREMELY suitable for adults.

A New Main Stage Show in April: Almost Maine by John Cariani

Beowulf Alley Theatre Company presents John Cariani's delightful comedy Almost Maine, March 29th through April 14th!

On a cold, clear, moonless night in the middle of winter, all is not quite what it seems in the remote, mythical town of Almost, Maine. As the northern lights hover in the star-filled sky above, Almost's residents find themselves falling in and out of love in unexpected and often hilarious ways. Knees are bruised. Hearts are broken. But the bruises heal, and the hearts mend-almost-in this delightful midwinter night's dream.

Thanks again from everyone at Beowulf Alley Theatre!
