If you were told that a play about violent murders, espionage, romance, harrowing escapes and national security secrets would be a laugh-a-minute, you would definitely raise your eyebrows. But in The PrimeTime Players next show, "The 39 Steps", that is exactly what happens.

 

"The 39 Steps" is a wildly popular stage spoof of the classic 1935 Alfred Hitchcock thriller film which played on Broadway for 771 performances until it closed in 2010. In that time the play garnered two Tony Awards - and was nominated for four others. It also received the Drama Desk Award in 2008 for the Unique Theatrical Experience. The play ran off-Broadway for another year and continues to be produced in London's West End and around the world. What makes it so much fun is that a small cast of SaddleBrooke actors will portray over 100 roles! Buy a table so you can sit with your friends and neighbors.

 

Tim Morsani and Andrea Molberg will be the lead characters on April 16, 18 & 20. Karen Moore and Mike Moore will be the lead characters on April 17, 19, 21. The are also in the opposite performances but in smaller parts.
