Musical Theatre Summer Camps, 2013

 

Live Theatre Workshop's Musical Theatre Summer Camps are a one-week experience in music, theatre, dance, and technical production. Each day, students work with professional teaching artists who lead them through the process of producing a play. They also work daily with a choreographer on two to three dance numbers and a vocal coach on musical theatre style singing. All students are assigned a role and learn acting techniques and theatre skills through the rehearsal process: they present their characters and musical numbers in a final performance. Camps are arranged by age and grade level. All skill levels are welcome. The professional instructors are dedicated to making the entire experience fun and educational in a safe and low-pressure environment. While students are very busy learning lines, acting, singing, dancing, building sets, and producing a play; there is plenty of time for acting improvisation and theatre games. The goal at LTW is to focus on the process of putting together a production. All students will understand what it takes to put on a show from start to finish with a focus on teamwork, personal responsibility, and thinking outside the box.

1/2 Day Camp 1: ages 6 - 8, 8am - 12 pm, June 3 - 7

 

1/2 Day Camp 2: ages 6- 8, 1pm - 5 pm, June 3 - 7

 

Camp 1:  3rd and 4th grade, June 17 - 21

 

Camp 2:  5th - 6th grade, June 24 - 28

 

Camp 3: Guys and Dolls Jr. (2 weeks!)

  7th - 12th grade, July 1 – 13

Performances 7/12 & 7/13

           

Camp 4:  ages 8 - 18, July 15 - 19

 

Camp 5:  ages 8 - 18, July 22 - 26

 

Camp 6: ages 8 - 18, July 29 – August 2

 

Camps are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

$250 for the entire week camps 1-6, $500 for Guys and Dolls Jr. Musical Camp, & $130 for 1/2 day camps
