Southern Arizona Women’s Chorus Invites Auditions for New Members
The premier women's chorus of Tucson, the Southern Arizona Women's Chorus will be accepting new members each Monday from January 6th through January 27th for the 2014 spring concert season and beyond. Our spring season will be filled with music of swing and big band era medleys. Come join the fun and experiences, as a singer of this organization as we make music that will move our audiences.
Southern Arizona Women's Chorus, was established in the spring of 1985 by local women interested in singing for the Tucson community. Today it has a membership of more than 60 women. The Chorus is united by their love of singing and their commitment to excellence in performance. We sing beautiful music utilizing multiple-part harmonies, sometimes a cappella but more often accompanied by piano. The repertoire is extremely varied – from Jazz to Classical, and often collaborating with other local music organizations to make our performances fun and entertaining. Our mission is to provide women of the Tucson community with an opportunity to participate in a non-affiliated women's choral group. We serve the community by singing for civic, sports, church and private functions. We are ably led by one of Tucson's most talented directors, Terrie Ashbaugh, MM. Her musical background is enhanced by her engaging personality.
Southern Arizona Women’s Chorus is a member of the Arizona Choral Arts Association.

WHAT: Seeks singers for 2014 spring concert season. Under the artistic direction of Mrs. Terrie Ashbaugh, this premier women’s chorus performs a variety of music for civic, religious and private organizations and senior communities. Sing well, have fun and enrich the lives of others!
WHEN: Each Monday, 6:45 PM until 9:00 PM, Open rehearsals begin January 6th through January 27th. (Spring Rehearsal Dates: January 6 – May 19, 2014)
WHERE: Ascension Lutheran Church, 1220 W. Magee Rd., Tucson, AZ 85704 (Just east of LaCanada)
COST: $125..00/semester
