Casting Film "Soapocalypse" - UA
[Independent/Student Short Film]
Another Junior BFA University of Arizona student is casting for the film "Soapocalypse" Directed by Josiah Craig and Produced by Victoria Rodriquez. Chaos and absurdity ensue after a pristine, clean-freak woman discovers that all of the soap in the world has suddenly disappeared.
Roles:
Julia (lead) - Female, mid to late 20's. Kempt, upscale, and tidy. She is obsessed with cleanliness and has a hard time accepting drastic changes in life. She would convey the attitudes and looks of an attractive upper-middle-class businesswoman.
Neil - Male, mid to late 20's. Julia's roommate and her complete antithesis. He is lazy, grungy, and at best indifferent to cleanliness.
Weeping Woman - Female, 20's to 50's. A woman emotionally overwhelmed with the loss of soap.
Marge - Female, 20's to 40's. Your average every day neighbor lady. She goes crazy after the soap disappears. Preferably in her 40's to convey "neighbor getting newspaper in robe" more convincingly.
Males and Females - Any age, as featured extras with lines. Various people affected by the soap shortage.
