Odyssey Storytelling is throwing a FREE audience appreciation party at our March 6th show to say THANK YOU for ten years of support! A recent storyteller, amazed at the heart-felt reception from our audience said, "Odyssey Storytelling gives people the opportunity to be nice." We LOVE our audience—always warm, friendly, open—and great listeners!

The FREE March 6th show, Anniversaries, will feature 4 storytellers, allowing time before and after to mingle, snack, sip drinks and tell more stories. Please consider giving a donation in support of Odyssey Storytelling, a program of StoryArts Group, Inc, a 501(c)3 nonprofit arts organization. Your donation is tax deductible! Receipts will be provided at the door. Checks can be written to StoryArts Group.

For ten years Odyssey Storytelling has bridged art and community building. Our stories are YOUR stories—not professionals, not actors, but every day folks who are never censored; we welcome anyone who wants to share from the heart. And, every show features community announcements for stumping causes, sharing events or promoting what's going on. Even more, Odyssey Storytelling supports community building by providing a space for listening. Storytellers and audience members alike describe the cathartic and powerful experience of listening to each other. Beyond the confines of our shows, Odyssey Stoytelling has given back to the community by donating in support other local non-profits like Southern Arizona Greyhound Adoption, Wingspan, Planned Parenthood and breast cancer awareness—to name a few.

Since March 4th, 2004 Odyssey Storytelling has brought Tucson 106 shows and 650 stories of triumph and tragedy. Stories of family: Penelope's and Nancy told their story of being reunited mother and daughter after a 50-year separation. Stories of love: Michael and Carolyn met and fell in love at an Odyssey show! And a venue for community healing—in the year that followed the tragic January 8th shooting, stories of healing and hope connected back to that event every month—not because we planned it—simply because we offered a space for the stories to be told.

Please accept our thanks and come to the March 6th Anniversaries show and Audience Appreciation Party! Bring your friends, especially if they have not yet experienced Odyssey Storytelling. We would be thrilled to see you!

Odyssey hosts shows (almost) every first Thursday of the month at FLUXX Studios and Gallery. Six invited tellers share ten-minute stories on the theme. Never read or memorized, tales are told from the life experiences and creativity of the teller. The 2014 themes will bring you stories of love, community, imprisonment, secrets, food and MORE!
