Subject: Love Sound.

IFASA (is transitioning to become) Independent Film Arizona.  Our April 1 Meeting (CoLab: 17 East Pennington at 7 PM) will focus on Sound.

Part One (Love Sound) is a expert panel discussion on location sound, studio sound, and the sound edit.  On axis, doubling up, the dead rabbit, wind, planes, cars, refrigerators, air conditioners, how many db's, peaking, shotguns, cardioids, digital audio recorders, slates,  amplification, wireless, hard wired and more.

Part Two (Love Sounds) will be a demonstration of the power of audio in conveying the story.  Contestants (with at least 18 years of experience with sound)  will be asked to script a one to three minute "love scene" (interpreting that as each contestant group deems fit).  At the meeting we will record the audio for the scene without any visuals and will award the best love scene audio recording --  $250 cash money.  The power of sound.

Because of my commitment to quality audio I do anticipate participating in this contest -- so don't both showing up unless you have your game face on and your A game in your script notebook.

The Love Sound(s) Meeting.

Hope to see you there.

President
