The Arivaca Independent Filmmaker's Exhibition - this weekend - free

The Arivaca Independent Filmmaker's Exhibition is a showcase for films and digital media that embody the artistic spirit of the independent filmmaker from insightful documentaries to creative short films.   The event primarily showcases works of Arizona filmmakers and visual media artists from the desert Southwest.  But in addition, the Arivaca Film Exhibition presents unique and relevant films from around the world.

The community of Arivaca, Arizona is proud to host its annual Arivaca Independent Filmmakers Exhibition – A film screening event that is free and open to the public.  This year, documentary films were selected from a juried collection of 100 films in honor of the State’s founding in 1912. These films are known as the AZ100 Indie Film: A State of Arizona Centennial Celebration. This archival and film recognition project was supported by the UofA’s Confluence Center for Creative Inquiry and the Arizona Media Arts Center.
