THE MIGRATION PROJECT SEEKS ACTOR RESUMES/HEADSHOTS
The Migration Project, a community-devised theatrical documentary written by Eugenia Woods and directed by Marc David Pinate, is accepting resumes and headshots from actors of color for their upcoming production scheduled November 14-22 at ZUZI!. The project seeks two actors, one male, one female, 20-40 to play a variety of characters of various cultural backgrounds. Rehearsals for the project will commence the week of September 29. Selected actors will be called for an informal read of the text on May 3 at 12:00.
The Migration Project explores cultural motivations for migration, approaches & barriers to establishing a sense of home. Community workshops, personal interviews, and interactive installations were used to gather data from the community on notions of participation, belonging and the drive to identify oneself in the context of place. Material gathered through these public activities was applied to the development of the script and choreography.
