My Friend From India

Opens February 1st

   The Comedy Playhouse will open My Friend From India by Henry Du Souchet, on February 1st.

  My Friend From India is a broad farce.

  The Underholt family has moved to New York from Kansas City.  They are desperate to break into New York "high society."   They've tried and tried, and they've failed and failed. 

  At the same time, a swami, newly arrived from India, has become the biggest prize for high society matrons to snag for their dinner parties.

  One evening, Charlie, the Underholt's ne'er-do-well son, comes in late after a night of carousing.  He has brought with him, his drinking buddy.

   Misunderstanding piles upon mistake, which in turn piles upon error and complications ensue.  The drinking buddy is taken to be the aforementioned swami.

   Come and watch all the fun and find out just who is My Friend From India.

   My Friend From India features Drew Kallen, Colin Roberts, Nell Summers, Callie Hutchinson, and Lily Delamere.

  My Friend From India runs February 1st through March 3rd.    Admission is $18, with discounts available. 

  The Comedy Playhouse is located at 3620 N. 1st Avenue at the northeast corner of 1st Avenue and Prince Road.  The Comedy Playhouse has lit, adjacent parking My Friend From India is appropriate for ages eight and up.

The Mystery Genius of

Sherlock Holmes II

Begins March 8th

  The most famous detective in literature will return to The Comedy Playhouse in The Mystery Genius of Sherlock Holmes II  March 8th  through March 16th .

  The Mystery Genius of Sherlock Holmes II consists of an ALL NEW selection of 4 of the original 56 stories written by Arthur Conan Doyle.  Included in this year's presentation is The Adventure of the Crooked Man and The Adventure of The Resident Patient.

  Test you sleuthing skills as Bruce Bieszki and Drew Kallen  bring the famous detective and his partner to life in The Mystery Genius of Sherlock Holmes II.

   The Comedy Playhouse will present Woman of Paris by Henry Becque, March 22 through April 28.

  The Woman of Paris is a domestic comedy about Clotilde, and the men in her life; the man she loves, the man who loves her and…her husband!

  Clearly, Clotilde leads a very active social life.  But now, things are coming to a head.  The man who loves her wants a commitment, the man she loves is leaving town, and her husband is angling for a promotion.

What's a poor girl to to?  Find out when you come to see Woman of Paris!
