Batucaxe is BACK with Tuesday night rehearsals leading up to CARNAVAL in March! Last Tuesday was a BLAST with incredible music and dance!
WANT TO JOIN US?! COME TONIGHT and still be part of performing!
We invite YOU and your friends and family to become a member of BATUCAXE! Have you experienced a Batucaxe performance and wished you knew how to play one of those cool instruments? Have you watched the big smiles on the faces of the dancers and musicians and thought you might like to be part of the COLLECTIVE JOY?
YOU CAN! No experience is required!
JOIN US TONIGHT, at 6:30-8:30PM, at Rhythm Industry Performance Factory (1013 S.Tyndall Ave).
Here is how membership works:
Membership is $40 per month for both band and dance. You may chose either and no experience is required!
There are discounts available for pre-paying membership:
For both NEW and signed RETURNING members, pay ahead for the trimester ( 4 months, Jan-April) and receive a 15% discount. Pay ahead either 8 or 12 months (the other two trimesters for 2013) and receive a 20% discount. This prepaid discount opportunity is available ANYTIME throughout the year!
By the Month
$40.00
One trimester in advance (4 mos):
$160 at $40 per month or prepay for all and pay only $135
Two or three trimesters (8 or 12 mos):
$320 at $40 per month or prepay for all and pay only $256
$480 at $40 per month or prepay for all and pay only $384
Full member benefits include:
§ Rehearsal and instruction every Tuesday, 6:30-8:30pm for the band and dancers.
§ Additional rehearsal and instruction for dancers on Sundays, 6:30-7:30pm
§ Dance class is included for both band and dancers, and class is every Sunday 5:00 -6:15pm
§ Use of instruments and Batucaxe performance t-shirt.
§ Access to the Batucaxe Member area of the Batucaxe website, which includes sound files, music, instruction and practice videos, and charts.
§ Free and Discount sessions for Master teacher workshops, professional musician earplugs, and California Brazil Camp (group discount with 10+ people, work study preference, and possible fundraising stipends.
§ Culture Night - a night of community gathering to learn more about Brazilian Culture and the music we play and dance to!
§ A vibrant, close knit and fun community whose goal is to inspire creativity, openness, community solidarity, and COLLECTIVE JOY!
To help us meet our financial goals in 2013, we'd like to increase Batucaxé membership by adding 12 -15 new members. This would help us to keep member fees at the present rate. Please refer someone to check us out for a month, a trimester or even better, a whole year!
